Streamer FAQ
Hosting, OBS and running your show.
How do chat suggestions work?
Use !topic your idea @PlayerName or !gif search words @PlayerName. Omit @PlayerName for any performer. GIFs and topics require moderator approval. Use !rate 1–10 during audience voting.
How do I replace my OBS link?
Use Regenerate beside Copy URL in Toolbox, then confirm. It invalidates the old link and Modpack. Paste the new complete URL into the website Foreground source; Limelight reconnects automatically and repairs its owned layers. Download a new Modpack if you use one.
How do I use my own artwork?
Enable Modpack in Toolbox → Personalisation (Streamer Elite). Download and extract it on the OBS computer. Drop every HTML into LL · Modpack. Leave the ordinary website source connected for OBS control. Edit SVGs or replace them with PNGs using the same folder and base filename, then reload sources. Missing or invalid replacements use the defaults. Files stay local; disabling preserves the files and dropped sources.
When do local artwork changes appear?
Streamer Elite can enable Modpack in Toolbox → Personalisation. Download and extract it on the OBS computer, then drop every HTML into LL · Modpack. Edit SVG or PNG files and reload sources. Missing replacements use Limelight’s original artwork; disabling keeps files and sources. Artwork caching is automatic for everyone.
How do I add a camera?
Lists devices attached to the OBS computer, not the computer running this website. Windows and Linux V4L2 are supported. New cameras use device-default video settings with camera audio muted. Existing OBS sources using the same device are reused with their name and audio settings preserved. Add the host first; drag to reorder later.
How do I remove a player?
Remove players here between games. Unused Toybox-created inputs and guest scenes are deleted; sources used elsewhere and cameras you created yourself are retained. Shared Discord tiles have individual website names; renaming one does not rename the shared capture.
How do Discord camera crops work?
One window capture is reused as directly cropped camera items with shared chroma key when any Discord guest selects chroma. No-filter guests share that key too; green clothing or props can disappear. Only NVIDIA guests get separate filter scenes. Detected crops follow window-size changes after applying. Discord does not publish stable grid geometry and is testing new interfaces: verify the numbered preview. Save a preset for each guest count to reuse your corrections when the layout changes between games. Connections can fill the count from discovered Discord camera guests. Verify the visible grid before applying.
Does the layout fit my canvas?
Every managed overlay matches the OBS base canvas. Portrait layouts reserve separate room for prompts, the performer, and guest tiles. A small size check keeps layers in sync when the base canvas changes.
Landscape or portrait?
Limelight follows your OBS canvas size automatically. It creates one live composition. The emulator previews both orientations; no Secondary scene is generated.
OBS pairing
Your private source URL connects OBS to your account automatically. No pairing code is needed. It remains valid until regenerated. Open Interact once to enter the local OBS WebSocket port and password. That password stays on the OBS computer. Scene setup runs automatically, with a version and canvas check on source reload or OBS startup.
What does Check & repair change?
It restores essential Limelight scene links, layers and missing managed structure. It preserves the current OBS program scene, camera filters, optional layer visibility and references embedded in your own scenes. Sources created outside Limelight are retained. Finish a game before rebuilding guest setup.
What can the audio check fix?
Inspection checks source routes, duplicate paths, mute settings and configured stream/VOD tracks. Reuse existing Mic/Aux and one guest call feed. Quick fixes can add safe scene references or assign selected mic and guests to verified output tracks; they do not replace global devices or output settings. Keep call monitoring off. Monitor Limelight only through an output excluded from Desktop Audio. Record and listen to a short test before going live, and recheck after changing devices, scenes or audio routes.
Background filters
Chroma key: ask each guest to remove their background in their camera software and replace it with pure #00FF00 green. This gives our shared preset the best chance of working without per-camera tuning. Compression and uneven green can still leave edges.
NVIDIA removal: requires Windows and a compatible NVIDIA GPU: GeForce RTX 2060, Quadro RTX 3000, TITAN RTX or higher. Download the NVIDIA Video Effects redistributable for your GPU, then restart OBS and repair setup. GTX, AMD and Intel GPUs cannot use this NVIDIA filter. First setup prepares supported filters disabled. Repair preserves your selected filters; existing prepared filters toggle immediately. The first NVIDIA selection for a shared Discord tile creates its isolation scene and can take longer.
Guest camera links
Connect Twitch in Connections for automatic participant discovery. Individual camera URLs still need to be supplied; the discovery API does not provision them. Fugi requires its own sign-in and individual source URLs.
